Oh my gosh!  I got to see my eldest Granddaughter today!  She brought her boyfriend and they stayed and visited for hours which was so awesome!  I'd missed her so much and was in seventh heaven!  Her boyfriend is super.  She chose well.

She's going to be moving in around mid February too.  She and I are both now the exiled ones. lol *Snicker...

I can't think of anything else so ending here.

Later taters...

Hi people...Hey, what's the deal with Grumpy Bumpers?  Are they down again?  Is there a limit to how many pics you can use in one set?  I added a few more to my 71 and now nothing's coming up. grrr

It's 30f degrees here today.  It's windy so feels like 20. brrr.  Next week is "really" going to freeze my taters, nothing over 20f degrees!  Here comes the dead of Winter...omg  Get me outa here fast!  I hate our freezing cold weather!  I think they blow it in from Siberia!  Lordy!

Things are moving along with my new job at Creative Addictions.  We've got a schedule  now for the Mod's challenge which we're all taking part in and guess who's up next?  Yep, yours truly!  I've offered up a suggestion of what I'd like to have done and am waiting on the go ahead from the others before I start hunting down the items that I need for it.  I am so excited!  My first run at helping! WooHoo!

I'm making masks now!  So far, I've got 5 made!  They're Valentines masks and Belinda's saving them for CA's new Blog so when the Blog's all done, she's going to put them on it somewhere!  She says I'm doing great and I can make all I like so I'm going to keep on until I run out of ideas.  I mean, how many hearts and flowers masks can one make, right? Smile/Wink...

I'm feeling so much better today even though I didn't climb into bed until 5 a.m. last night and got up at 10:30 this morning. No nap either so doing pretty good. Since I couldn't sleep last night, I made a pot of potato soup with beef and bacon. It turned out fantastic!!! Even Gretchyn can appreciate that mamma is a good cook. lol She had 2 bowls all by herself! lol At seperate times of course.

I'm on the Fox Network waiting for Charlie Sheen's Show but don't seem to be getting it. hmmm  All that's on is American Idol.  I don't like that show but am suffering through to see if Charlie comes up next maybe.  I hope so, I think he's a great actor.

Well, later taters, take care...
Rhonda

It's our TV time now, shhhh Thank you...

Happy Saturday!  Still having a medium amount of pain, but slowly getting better.  I tried ramen noodles w noodles last night instead of just drinking the broth and a couple pieces of toast.  So far so good.

I made a big bowl of pudding last night and later today I'm going to try a cup of it and hope that it'll treat my pancreas ok and not backfire on me. lol  I still don't understand why the ER or my doctor didn't put me on an antibiotic.

It's a gorgeous day today and I've got the door open for fresh air.  The dog and cats are loving it!  Me too! lol  It's nice but today's the last of our January thaw so it's back to canned air tomorrow.

The college kids are all on line so I've been fighting for a smidge of internet access today.  For a while, I just gave up when it went down to 3 bars. ugh

Yep, I've given up on The Nook, no one wants to do any challenges, or even sign in so it's a no go.  I don't blame them, there are so many other groups out there that are more active and fun.  Even I have found myself constantly at Creative Addictions as a member because it's such a great group!  So Nook will just sit there till the .com runs out and I'll probably just delete it.  What's the use of having a group when there's no one there?

Hope your all having a nice Saturday!

Hugs to all,
me

Omg what a day!  Well it's been about 2 weeks but I finally caved in and headed to the ER with an overnight bag deciding that I just couldn't take the freaking pain any longer.  I kept hoping it was something like a pulled muscle in my abdomen from my coughing.  Yeah, I have smokers cough. ugh.  The pain didn't go away, it kept getting worse, and the last couple of days I was absolutely miserable!  All I was eating, well drinking was the broth from ramen  noodles, chicken noodle soup and nothing else.

Anyway, got there at 5p.m.  The wait was unbearable but I hung in there.  Finally got to my room, waited another half hour.  So, after seeing 2 nurses, the lady who gets all the insurance info, I got tagged then had to drink the "contrast" water so they could send me off to CT scan.  That went fine.  I got hooked up to a bag of saline, they toook the blood, and got my morphine through it.  Ohhhh at last!  Relief!  That's when I started welling up with tears because of the relief.  I'd put up with this for 2 weeks and it was finally over.  Whew!

All of the tests came back, and yep, it was my pancreas again.  Acute "plus" Chronic.  The nurse explained that being that it's chronic, it will be coming back.  Oh fun!  I did not want to hear this!  I have enough chronic crap in my body to add another one, but guess I'll just have to deal with it. pfffft!

She gave me a bunch of great tips though to hold it off hopefully for long periods of time.  I will be using these tips, because I sure don't want to have to deal with this agony again as long as I can help it!  It causes so much pain in my lower back, shoulders, and my entire abdomen!  So there's really no comfortable way to sit, lay down, stand, double over, etc.... So even sleep for the last 2 weeks has been horrible.

Now that the tests and results were done, they said that I could come home.  It was midnight!  But ya know?  I didn't want to be there anyway, and didn't want the cats and dog to spend any more time alone.  They paid for the cab to bring me home.  I was fine with that, because a cab at midnight here is on the pricey side.  The cab I normally use only runs until 8p.m.

Three days more of liquid diet, move up to jello and yogurt and then really soft foods like mashed potatoes with "no" butter. ewwwww.  Oh Lord, anything to get past this!

So they sent me home with a prescription for pain, and a prescription strength pepto to keep the vicodin from upsetting my already violated tummy.  Thank you Lord for saving the day today!

Anyway, that's how I spent my day.  Now listening to my oldies channel watching the cats do their craziness in the middle of the night and feeling my Gretchyn staring at me waiting for me to pack it in and go to bed. lol  One more cup of hot tea should do it.  Take my meds and hit the trail.

I have tags to post over at Creative Addictions but I'm waiting until tomorrow.

Niters all....
